I went through a hard time of my life, brain surgery, divorce, all while in the midst of having a mediocre job. At the time of the custody portion of the divorce, I was in depression and could not afford an attorney. The parenting rights I was given were so minuscule and hurting my ability to build and keep a great relationship with my son. Over time, I continuously tried to prove to the Friend of the Court that things were better; I had gotten into a great job, gone through counseling for my depression and even found love again and earned it back from now who is my wife. There were many lawyers who felt it would be a wasted battle to try to change things with the Friend of the Court. I feel blessed that somehow I found Rebecca though. . . Not only was she sure she could change the custodial agreement, she felt she should be able to change it without having to have a yelling and screaming match! Not only did she accomplish what she thought could happen, it went quicker and smoother than I could have ever expected.
